Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA)
BSA is a globular protein (~66,000 Da) that is used in numerous biochemical applications due to its stability and lack of interference within biological reactions. It is suitable for use as an enzyme stabilizer during purification or for dilution of restriction endonucleases and nucleic acid modifying enzymes and is commonly used in DNA and protein labeling experiments as a blocking agent.
